How the hell do i mix out of Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (Dj Tiesto Remix)
Ok my version has the red cover with the lady doing something with her finger..
It has the Gabriel and Tiesto mix and a radio edit of Ready Steady Go..
Ok on the last build up to finish off the track the song fades out, i mean WTF!!!...why is it like that...how is any gonna be able to mix it.

Dont mean to come across as a cocky bastard but the answer to that is pretty simple freind. Line the next track up, Release and take over before "Southern Sun" dies on you.
Releasing track "B" when "Southern Sun" kicks in helps to, Lots of time to take over.
If you think "Southern Sun" is hard to mix out of, you should up-date your 12" collection because holy shit, I got some fucking killers that basically are impossible to mix out of.

I actually had trouble with that myself. Two options.
1. What burns said
2. At the middle of the track there is a breaks part. at the 5:30 mark (of T's version) there is a breaks part. If you're good, you can line it up so the beat of your next trak will kick in right as the breaks in the middle of SS start. Then you can tweak freq's and fade out of SS b4 the vocals start up again. Not easy, but how cool would that sound Try that with.. say.. a Hybrid trak.

yeah, fading out was even lamer than editing it! perfecto say they did this to keep the quality in the vinyl. apparently if you have shorter tracks, fewer tracks or just take up less space as possible on the 12" it keeps the quality?!?! i wouldnt know im not a vinyl man. apparently the american version on maverick has the full mix as does the perfecto promo 12", perfecto promo cd, and the full release perfecto cd. it looks as though the full release vinyl buyers got the short end of the stick :/
Positiva did this with the full release of janeiro too. although they had a 2x12" release, they edited the armin, p&k, james holden mixes and stuffed em all on one of the vinyls. the cd had the full armin mix, and both formats of the promo had all full lenght mixes.

Well it's true, apparently - the shorter the vinyl, the better the quality.
