I really like Fab Filter Saturn to warm up my bass sounds... multiband, extremely flexible with tons of different distortion algorithms and characters, great modulation support, L/R and M/S stereo support.

For me its a one shop stop to distortion no matter how I want it to sound.

Check out the "Warm Tube" algorithm, it works wonders for bass.

Trial is free for 30 days as with all Fab Filter stuff.

Melda's distortion saturation plugins are probably the most in-depth in terms ofconrol. I dislike saturn. Ohmicide is great if you take the time to learn how to use it.
