A few years ago, Markus snd Avalon seemed inseparable. 3 sets in 12 months, 2 of which were solo sets, Seemed as if a residency was forming....but then thats where things ended. It's almost been 2 years since Markus has graced the decks of Avalon(not counting the surprise set at Coldharbour Night). Anyone know what the issue is here? He's playing at Sutra next month and I have a hunch this will be it for LA unless he does Escape or something..and I thought LA would for sure be track for the 2015 City Series but that's beginning to seem unlikely as he's already selected 2 CA cities.

Avalon has resorted to booking unknown (possibly good music) acts because Insomniac has such tight grip on all the major head liners. You probably won't Schulz or any other big name dj play at Avalon for a while. Maybe a one off here and there but nothing huge.

Yeah there are some pretty good trance events coming up at Avalon. Menno de Jong In Trance We Trust night. Gabriel & Dresden open to close classics set. Super8 & Tab. It's killing me that we are missing Menno but we will be on our way to the Luminosity Beach Festival in Amsterdamn.

so because of a stupid promoter monopoly, Markus Avalon days are over?

whats weird though is when he played Avalon, he was more involved in So. Cal Insomoniac Massives. Seems as if he doesn't play massives in So. Cal as much anymore.

He drops a bunch of nacho cheese anyway. Not worth the price.

Avalon can do better booking up and coming acts. Schulz days are numbered if he doesn't go back to the sound he nurtured.

I saw markus at OTC in SF Ruby Skye, I asked him about it, and he said "Soon, its in the works and its coming"
