Wat? I know you're probably bitter from those other threads but learn to compartmentalize. There was no joke.

Everything that excites me about making music is wrapped up in these videos.
A few hands on boxes, a desk and a couple of stomp boxes and I'm happy.
DAWs make me yawn. It's like using Excel.

True, there's a great interview from years ago with Brian Eno where he's going on about there being nothing worse than making music by starting at a screen and clicking a mouse. Cubicle music I think he called it lol.
At the same time, hardware is fun but really, it's just not practical to not use a daw with all the features and possibilities we now take for granted.

These videos just illustrate how utterly bankrupt in general musicianship most if not all these producers are. The whole make a beat thing seems so stupid in that it is so easy that to even need 30 seconds to do all this especially given the lack of processing would feel like par.

You've got a point but if dance music isn't fundamentally a "beat" (or better said a groove), then I don't know what is. But yeah, they're not doing anything that is musically amazing, and actually nothing that wasn't done 25 years ago.
