From what I understand Qlikview is going to be slowly decommissioned in favor of QlikSense. That's their new direction. I don't have a whole lot of Qlikview experience, but I do like QlikSense. It's easy to use, seems pretty powerful and works quickly (unlike everything SAP lol).
I didn't mention it above, but I've also gotten to play around with SAP Lumira quite a bit. Meh, it sucks too. SAP blows.
With all of that said, I've never gotten a chance to use Tableau. I tend to agree with you that it seems like the product most of the others are chasing.
