Deep mellow squelchy techno

Just discovered the delightfully named OOFT! who, amongst other things, does a fine line in lush mellow Detroit-flavoured techno. It reminded me how much I love this kind of stuff and yet how little of it I know:

This is perfect end of night / after-party fare: really deep and warm but still with a nice groove to keep your juices flowing. Can anyone point me in the direction of other artists? Preferably available on formats other than exclusively vinyl.

Another good one from a few years back:

Those aren't acid tracks. If you are looking for some mellow, deep acid techno, these would probably fit the bill:

One of my favs, a somewhat underlooked classic - perfect to end the night with:

A bit darker, might not be up your alley:

You're probably already familiar with the classics, Random XS - Give Your Body and Air Liquide - Liquid Air, which would also fit the bill.

Agreed that the opening tracks aren't acid. Though the first arguably uses the synth's filter in a somewhat "acidish" way, it has to at least be a monosynth, if not an actual 303, to count as "acid," right?

I did enjoy the tracks posted so far, at any rate.

These also, of course:

Pretty much. The only real monosynths (aside from 303 clones) that are able to do that, afaik, are an MC-202, an SH-101, and possibly the Novation Basstation. They can sound acidic, but most others don't, to begin with.

You're right actually - neither of the first two actually have 303-esque sounds in them. I was listening to quite a few tracks last night in this mellow, squelchy Detroit style and picked these two out as my faves without bothering to re-listen before I typed out the thread.

I will amend the word acid to "squelchy" to broaden the criteria suitably. Acid is welcomed, but not essential.

Some decent efforts in this thread, not enough Detroit for me though.

Another winner for dinner, one of my very favourite techno tracks:

Great track obviously, but I wouldn't have thought of it as 'squelchy'. You should rename this thread to 'deep mellow techno tracks that have resonance'

This one is a bit electro-ish but I think in the right direction?

This one even has acid.

No idea if this is squelchy enough, but i'll take the excuse to post one of my alltime detroit favorites

This one has squelchy vocals for a change.

Eduardo De La Calle probably has enough tracks in this style to supply you for the next three years.

Can't forget my man Gerard Hanson.

Lots of resonance in this one.
