Of course. Nobody needs to go through an "Enlightenment" period to realize how fucked up this is on all sorts of levels. If you watch the entire video, simply killing her wasn't enough. They weren't sure what to do with the body - someone yelled out to throw her into the river and let the dogs eat her, but eventually they settled on burning her - some men using their own scarves for the fire, as they couldn't set her aflame due to all the blood.

Just goes to show that this sort of "extremism" and "radical" Islam is not just about ISIS and jihadists, it's more than that.

yeah thing is the religion in question is pretty much 100% to blame for the lack of education and the endurance of ignorance. while the western world more or less revised its religion and moved on from the dark ages the largest part of the muslim countries kept with the old ways and stayed there.

See, I don't know about this. Sounds like an oversimplification of what actually happens. To me, it's just cheap to blame a book for people's ideologies instead of blaming people themselves. This is complex and complicated.

It's disgusting, but you seem to take the thought of enlightenment to narrowly.

When you hear that word, it's not about some spiritual coming of age - it's quite the opposite; it's about realizing that religion is bollocks and by relying on logic, fact and science, rather than fairytales you get a more educated, empathetic and reasonable population.

Also religion (nearly all of them) are designed to keep certain people down and restricted (women, non-believers, the infirm) because of crazy superstitious belief.

When societies step away from religion being their moral guidance, countries suddenly grow the fuck up and stop treating other people, women and animals like shit.

Yes, people are to blame but it's because their source of knowledge comes from some ancient book and hideously outdate

I will say though it's a little bit rich that you as a farily devout G_D fearer yourself keep posting thing about how bad other religions are.

Foe every video you post of muslims doing something awful, I can post something of Mossad or Israeli police doing something just as abhorrent.

For instance, here's a video of Israeli police assassinating two girls (16 & 13) because they got in a fight with an elderly relative. They tried to cover it up saying it was a another knife attack but it turned out the girl was coming from school and was trying to protect her younger sister from the approaching men, with a pair of scissors from her school bag.

So you need some additional knowledge to realize it's wrong to beat, kick, and club a woman to death, run over her and drag her beneath your car for over 300 feet, then - after she was already likely dead - throw stones at her body and burn it? You're seriously going to compare the OP vid and this one? To me, it does look like a knife attack, and I don't think the Israeli police had the time to stop and ask questions, seeing her like that (of course due to the near-daily knife attacks in Israel, and whatnot).

And I'm just curious - where is the factual evidence that the girl was trying to protect her sister, rather than try and knife another Jew?

Here's the problem. It is the individual that becomes fanatic, you can't blame ideas and faith. What happens in this video is mass hysteria and panic veiled as an islam lynching. These dudes just wanted to kill someone.

revise the book and you won't have that problem. humans were savage barbarians if you go far enough back. creating religion was a way of dealing with that among other things. further modernizing religion as time passed and society evolved kept the progress of education, technology, etc. possible. refusing to overlook some of the real retarded stuff that are in the religious books denied that progression. the heart of the problem is living strictly by rules of a religion that was made forever ago.

edit: I'm anti all religions, but I realize that islam is by far the most dangerous one because of the reasons above and what it has led to.

Because what comes along with those elements are reason and understanding. Educate people, make them rely less on religion and more on knowledge and you end up with less violence and less stupid superstition.

There's a reason religion wants to keep people and especially women uneducated; it's keeps dumb and easily swayed men in line.

Lack of education and blind reliance on fairy tales are reasons the video like the one you posted exist.

I lived next to golders green in London (so you know what I'm talking about) and I live very close to a big orthodox community here. There's certainly no violence (it would not be tolerated here) but I see the rampant suppression of women every single day, forced to wear wigs and cover themselves, have 5 kids in the early 20's, married off to much older (I mean elderly in some cases) men all to conform to yet another religion that has one set of rules for them, and another for men.

You can say "what you think you see" but what you see is three guys chasing and then unloading guns at point blank range in to teenagers. They confirmed it's a pair of scissors. It was not that old chesnut again, a "knife attack" (ever notice how now when anyone gets show at a checkpoint, it's a "knife attack").

You should really just say it's awful and disgusting to see someone do that to what is clearly a teenage girl and her even younger sister (who clearly looks liek a child) and take it on the chin, but instead you offer hypocritical explanations as to why they didn't have time to assess the situation.

They keep doing head shots once she's face down on the ground.

there's no excuse and you should stop trying, in the same way there's no excuse for lynching that woman, even if she had a pair of scissors.
