Big Ears need a pile-driver type of sound

I'm making another track. I use FL 3.5 and I want to synthesize or get a sample of a single pile-driver hit, much a like a loud, bell hit, but on steel, instead of dainty brass. They used that sound quite a bit in the Matrix score soundtrack. plz help, thnx.

that's the sound I'm trying to find...the search engines find some...but none are quite right. I'd prolly have to synthesize it..... but how??

It sounds alot like hitting a hammer on a steel beam or a hammer on an anvil.

hmmmmm... a good example is in lord of the rings, when the orcs are forging their weapons in the underground place near that tower. The sound when those hammers hit the weapons on the anvils. I need a single hit sound like that. I really can't find a sample that is ample

there must be some sort of physical modelling type of program like tassman or something, that could produce the sound you want.

with tassman, I believe one of the modules is a struck instrument where you can define the dimensions of the surface you're hitting, and the material as well. (i may be wrong, but it IS a physical modelling synth, i know its got bowed instruments and flute instruments, i think it has malleted as well)

hope this helps

The second one is most like what i'm looking for, but it has to sound like a heavier hit from a heavier object, like iron on iron almost.
