is there a program that can split wave files that are over 2gb into 2 separate wave files, that i can edit in programs like cool edit etc?
only programs i've found split the file in 2, the first file is wave but the other isn't a valid wave file, so i can't edit it
much appreciation to anyone that can help

(note: programs like CD Wave Editor will not do, they can't properly handle wave files of this size)

Swamper posted somewhere in the site a software that splits mp3. Encode the file to mp3, split and decode

Also, if you've got 6gbs free, you could use goldwave. Get the sound file. Trim the first part and you'll have the first file.
Then, do it again, but instead of "trim", use the "delete" option. You'll have the second part Get it?

goldwave is the program i was trying to use, i just figured more people would know cool edit, it gives me an error because the wave file is too big

i tried to encode a large file with razorlame and the program shut down during the encoding without warning
