Got there early around 430, didnt get in until 630 because of the very unorganized staff.
There was five rooms, and my friend and i stayed in the main room for the majority of the time. From time to time we strayed off to the other rooms, but for some reason the main room caught most of my attention.
Matt hardwick: Didnt get to see him start off his set, however, once we did, he did a good job keeping the crowd off their feet. i felt he could of done a better set.
Dj irene: note to djs, never throw flyers at the crowd, there might be a possibility that it can get caught between the catridge and vinyl. i have no idea what she was on.
anne savage: I was feelign her energetic set a lot, which i wasnt expecting.
Richard Humpty Vission: Good blend of different genres. Great energetic set as always.
Judge Jules: A DISSAPPOINTMENT!
didnt hear his start of his set. songs that i heard in no particular order
Rank 1 - Awakening (cosmic gate remix) w/ i have a dream scratching samples, jules cant scratch for shit
Dark Monks - insane (steve murano remix)
the clergy - obeo song (green martian)
dj elite - fuct camera
Svenson & Gielen - Answer The Question ?
Jurgen Vries - the theme
Brain bug - nightmare .... he did a sixtuplet buildup ...
set was too predictable
overall the party was great, and i had a fun time.

Whats up rudeboy...dude you missed out! Heh, but i guess its cool since you got to listen to armin without putting a dent on your wallet. My review:
The biggest shocker of the night was anne savage, her set was hard and VERY energetic. It was soooo much different from all the other typical djs. Her style doesnt sound good at home, but it rocks live with that clean bass and crazy crowd. Her set was on par with judges, the only thing she lacked was controlling/reading the crowd. Humpty vission did a good job of relaxing the crowd before judge came on, but i personally dont really like that style so i cant really say much...
I guess people have different opinions of judges set, but i personally think it was awesome. Especially when he threw down Jurgen Vries, the crowd went nuts! The buildup with Brainbug was cool too. Judge was teasing the crowd cause he kept pulling back on the buildup like...5 times i think? Heh, it was awesome how he kept toying and controlling the crowd like that, and judging from the people around me, they loved it too. The crowd was cheering the whole time. And uh..i dont even know who came on after judge.
By the way, does anyone know anybody from the uk that recorded the livesets by any chance? I heard Judges set was broadcasted live on Radio 1, so hopefully someone recorded it. Any info on how to get the anne savage or judge jules liveset from monster would be greatly apperciated. Thanks

Basically, In a nut-shell the party was great. I actually thought raves like this would never happen again. It actually felt like 1999 all over again.
I drank like 10 vodka-red bulls at $9 a drink, a rip-off!!! I managed to sneak in $40 of weed and smoked most of it. Then somewhere along the way, I ended up taking a small piece of a pill (about 1/4 of a double-sacked rolls royce) and it messed me up really good.
I'm 23 right now and I had no intention of raving and dropping anymore. I went to the party anyways. I met so many people that I knew and remember them telling me that they don't rave anymore. What a bunch of liars. I caught them in the act of raving and we had a good laugh.
I actaully thought Anne Savage played the better set of all the dj's in the main room. DJ Irene was pretty good and Richard Humpty Vision threw in a nice set as well. Matt Hardwick, hmm, I don't remember where I was for that one.
Finally, Judge Jules!!! He played his music up to my expectations. I knew he wouldn't be great. But he didn't suck that bad. He may have disappointed alot of people, but I felt that It was an okay set. There was this one track that he kept on playing over and over again. I don't know what it was, but It gave me a good trip.
Basically, out of all the raves that I have gone to, the only ones I would consider going are, Monster Massive, Electric Daisy Carnival, Nocturnal Wonderland, and Together As One. That is if the location is secure, bust-free, and time permitting. I used to go to raves alot, now I just go to a couple of them a year.
Like I said I'm 23, and going to 21 and over clubs are way better cuz there are less cops and security and it's more mature for me. The candy kids at raves are okay. They are the people that make raves what they are and create an awesome vibe. I guess what I'm saying is that I'll be more of a 21 and over clubber, but I'll go to raves once in a while, just for the hell of it.
Overall, raves provide the better vibe and 21 and over clubs out here provide the better DJ's. The music in my opinion was better at raves when you didn't know the DJ's name, whereas if you knew the DJ's name, you were most likey going to a 21 and over club. That's only true now. Back then, raves provides the better dj's.
Sorry i went off topic here, but I just wanted to share my point of view regarding raves vs. clubs. I guess I should have created a topic on this but I'm too lazy. Anyways, back to the topic, Monster Massive was great. If you ever have a chance to go, then go for it. The party will give you an experience that you will never forget.
