critique this amateur track

so i had a little play around with FL and this is what i came up with.

i have made one or two short tracks like this in the past. this is what i always come up with - an intro and bassline drop, basically.

i am looking for more experienced producers to critique this - on what is there, what is not, and where to go next.

using FL stutio stock sounds and a little bit of rob papen blue II.

it is just a one minutes thing, cheers

Since nobody replies you, I will be the one to tell you the truth.

You're 5 years away from a decent track.

Maybe if you post it in the right section you'll get the right criticism.

Quite honestly, there's nothing to critique. It's just a beat and very little else.

It's not bad, it's not good, it just... is.

you're just being lazy/incompetent.

the bass needs limited/compressed/sidechained or something. it is clearly too much. the delayed hat could be a little less obviously delayed in the mix. so there is those two things you missed.

and since you say there is little there, you could have elaborated on what it sorely lacks - and what should follow, since i asked for that specifically... for direction.

the WIP thread just seems to be everyone blowing smoke up each others arses.

i wouldn't call this a work in progress. that implies i am going to finish it. this is more like a general brain storming fart!

Well, if you don't want to use the thread these sort of things are intended for, that's the best you're going to get.

What do you need anyone here for if you already know that?

If you expect others to write your tracks for you, you need a different hobby. Or a ghost producer.

What the fuck are you looking for then? Why should we care about your brain storming farts? Come back when you've actually got something you intend to finish, until then you can keep on whining.
