I got a mouse from Mad Catz, despite that is a gaming mouse is kinda shit at that task, but is the most ergonomic mouse I got so far, I like that my thumb and pinky are rested on it.

Logitech MX Master

I resisted wireless mice for years, but this one truly has zero lag.

The lack of cable gives a surprising about of extra ergonomic freedom.

I used to have a Logitech M500 mouse, it had everything I needed with a good comfortable size, sidescrolling wheel and multiple programmable buttons. Might get another one in the near future.

I know this isn't helpful, but I wish I could have my Apple Magic Mouse in a PC version for my desktop PC/DAW. It's like a mouse and touchpad combined into one and supports a ton of gestures.

I recommend the combination of claw and fingertip grip and not palming it if you are. you basically control the mouse with your fingers, seems to cause less stress on the wrist.

The difference of grips are somewhat explained here, but my claw is at the mid of the mouse and my fingertip movement has much more slide and use the thumb/pinky to slide further horizontally as well, works for me. I love mice like the g3, its perfect for claw/fingertip action.

cool thanks - yeah its more the back of my hand where i get the pain, i lowered my armrest down so its more level with the mouse and that seems to help, i think i will still get a new mouse anyway, would like to get a wireless one

Logitech M705 here. Works well. Probably has a wired option as well.

you have to kinda learn how to hold your hand so you don't develop carpel tunnel syndrome. Or use a trackball. Some of you guys must work in offices with HR that can actually bring an expert in.
