Question What will video games be like 10 years from now?

Have you ever wondered what video games will be like 10 years from now? Even 5 years from now? 10 years ago we had the old 8-bit Nintendo now we have games with graphics that are insane! Will the games we play now look crappy in the future like NES games?

I wonder what sports games will be like. Madden 2003 is probably the most realistic football game ever. I can't imagine what Madden 2013 would be like! Shit! Maybe there will be three dimensional sports games. For example the system would have a board, for a basketball game, like 24" x 10" (or whatever). The players on the board would be holographic and 3d! Imagine a chess board, but it's basketball players instead of pieces. Now THAT would be cool.

I don't think Virtual Reality will be the future. Who wants to wear a heavy headset when playing? Maybe in the future they won't be heavy. Anyway, it still would have to be on a screen so others can watch.

Also, games like Everquest, which you are emersed in an entire online world may be the future. The possibilities are limitless.

What do you think?

The future of video games will be like the Virtual boy, that virtual reality game boy. Except not lame. Thats what i think at least. People will always crave 100" televisions, this simply isnt feasible. However a small device which takes up all your vision is much more feasible.

If we look at the trend from the past few year, games will remain relatively the same only their graphics will be much improved.

I see no reason to doubt that this will continue.

Exclamation More & More & Real

As you notice, gaming is reaching to be more and more real as years pass. I'm not saying that all games will be...cel-shaded will be left cel-shaded with better resolution, bit-rate..etc etc.. But sports games will probably look "REAL"
Alright

I think that no matter how the games are in the future we will say:
"DAMN! (insert any newly released game here) was U G L Y ! ! ! "
but i think that some legends will live on forever... e.g. Duke Nukem
UT Q3 CS HL NFS NHL FIFA BG D2 etc. etc. etc. ...
the list is long!
