I really don't know why Roland keeps this guy on, he uses words, but doesn't actually say very much

Sounds good, but I really wish they hadn't gone with the Aira format for this. Fiddly little knobs. Works for the JU-06 because there's not a lot on there, but the rest are a bit of a pain to use.

Oh FFS, absurd hyperbole much?

It does look and sound nice and, if the $499 price tag I've seen is correct, it will definitely be a winner.

That's really fucking nice and if that is only $499, they'll sell like hotcakes.

I get why they went aria - it's probably cheaper for them to stay in that R&D area and it's not alienating all the other people that bought arias. Roland need to sell a lot of these as they're not high margin items so keeping the price and format down is the trade off. It's also somewhat portable. Shit if the sequencer is any good, I may get one myself.

edit: YASSSSSSS

Sounds pretty good, you can write sounds for a multi range of genres. Kinda miffed that Roland released Boutique series TB-03 & TR-09 shortly after I bought a AIRA TB-3 & TR-8 -- but those do a lot more than just emulate exactly their original counterparts. I may pick up a TB-03 down the line just to have a more 'authentic' 303 experience.

Price makes this easy to buy but it doesn't seem to sound that different to my JDXA so I will give this a miss unless I hear something that changes my mind

True, and the JXDA has a lot more options, but for anyone not having that then it's $499 vs $1700.

I will say I'm loving the look of that step sequencer. I really hate having to do all the workaround steps with NRPN's for my electribe.
