I was already drunk by the time this thread was posted yesterday. I didn't even realise England were playing last night. The Netherlands must really be bad these days if they lost to us.

Someone actually told me about 5 years ago that the Dutch Reign was going to come to an end. I thought they were talking bollocks until they told me they were an under 16 coach, and he'd been to Holland on an exchange type trip.

Basically, the Dutch had some kind of overhaul in their youth system (it being one of the best in the world) and they'd basically tried to streamline it or better said, do more with less money and the result was going to be the end of a good national side.

I still didn't believe him, but everything he told me is coming true. He also said the same of the Argentine system (although for different reasons) and it looks like that is playing out as well.
