Coming to LA in November - anyone wanna meet up? Event suggestions?
Dear all,
I have been on (and off) TA for over 18 years now and was once known as "TA's Love Parade DJ" as I was lucky enough to spin on a float in Berlin in 2000, 2001 and 2002.
I have not been to LA since 1992 and have absolutely no idea if there is any Trance-related nightlife worth checking out that is not US-mainstream-EDM bullshit.
I'll be there for the weekend around the 1st of November, so Friday the 1st, Saturday the 2nd of November are the nights out I am looking at.
Any oldschool TranceAddicts in the area that want to meet and have a chat about old times, or maybe go "clubbing"? (I have no idea what kids call it these days )

the LA scene seems to be pretty lively, I would recommend checking out the local West Coast TA forum for better updates on shows and stuff.

thanks for the feedback. Obviously, I checked the local West Coast forum out first, but it looked pretty dead to me. There is an Event in LA with Solomun, but that's not really my cup of tea.

Not too many trance events happening the weekend you're headed out. Techno and house tend to be the big things in town with the occasional trance event at Avalon.

Oh and what's your definition of "Techno" here. There is hardly a term that covers more different styles than that

good question. The term is thrown around to a lot these days but I (personally) use techno/house to describe anything non-EDM or trance.
The underground in LA has been really hot the past couple of years. So many different warehouse parties going on these days. If interested, you could check out Incognito. They've been doing UG parties for years!
