Filterheadz vs. Peace Division

I'm not sure where I drew the connection but I just had to compare them

I think I see what you mean, especially the F. stuff of about 2002. Prefer PD.

Peace Division are obviously a much more credible act, but to me they mostly signify the moment the tech house - progressive crossover disappeared up its own tuneless arse.

Not a massive fan of the Filterheadz either, but I'll pick them just for their remix of Minimalistix - Struggle For Pleasure. This tune is an absolute weapon for me. I still cane it to this day, and it pitches down beautifully. I play this at 123bpm on the reg and it still sounds great with modern tunes, and everyone always wants to know what it is:

Yeah that's sort of a point. I like to seek out PD tracks from before (imo) the up the tuneless arse thing. Late 90s Low Pressings stuff and the like.

I was playing the A(nti).T(rance).T(errorists). remix of P.I.M.P. - The Light earlier today - half of Peace Division and of Circulation remixing Jamez all hidden behind aliases - that was the good stuff, and still is.

Yimanya was wild back in the day. Nothing like it. Still very unique to this day.

How is this even a question??

I joke, I joke.

On balance, I do have to say Peace Division, but they both put out some killer tracks. Not sure I'd ever think to compare the two, but that's what Matt is here for, I guess.

Thats a good one for sure. A bit similar is their remix of another Minimalistix track, Firewalkers.

As for Peace Division. Class act.
I'd prefer to compare them to Pig & Dan though.
Peace Division sound nothing like Filterheadz as far as i can tell.

You've just reminded me of yet another Minimalistix remix they did that I used on one of my Rapid Transit mixes. Not sure what the connection between the two acts was, but this one is a proper peak time driver:
