wait the extra time it takes to get 250 dollars more so you can afford techs... they will be more worth it in the long run. if i did it you can : )

what is that tech's are the best...why cant this TT be as good...i heard alot of good shit about..them..I think Wicked Neo has them and he says they rock..
i aint spending 800 bucks on TT's unless i am making money spinning..

but NOT the STR8 arms

they prematurely wear the vinyl or so it seems

i used them once and... i donno they just didnt feel very good. may be that i was used to techs but i just think that it feels better. stats can only discribe something to a certain extent but when it comes down to it you just have to try both of them. and if they feel the same and everything then just get the stantons if you think it will be more worth it for you.

I didnt buy Stantons my first time but..

When I wanted to get decks I didnt even think of Techs, sure Ive heard
alot of great things about them but they were SO expensive!
So I bought two Reloops players. Worse case of throwing my money away.
I bought one RP4000, their "monster" with +/- 20% pitch, strong engine,
reverse/forward, quartz lock and even the ability to play 78rpms.

I guess its suppose to compete with the new Techs, MD3 or what they
might be called.

Anyways, Im gonna have to send that deck in for repairs because from
the start the motor wasnt really functioning, when you move the pitch
it doesnt smoothly regulate the speed of the deck but sometimes completly
stops the engine and after a second starting it again.
You can imagine how frustrating that is especially when you are pitching
back from a transition and it sounds like you just turned off the deck.

To make the story shorter, Ive had my first Technics 1210 for a month
now and I love it. The motor is strong, the pitch is wonderful..
I love it.

Save your money and get Technics.

I personally would recommend you go with Technics.
IF you really dont want to spend 400 bucks on new ones, get second hand ones....thats what I did.
Many times you will find that people want to start djing, then they try it, it doesnt work, so they sell their equipment practically brand new.
There is a site that I purchased one from,,... it was practically brand new in the box, place is www.musicgoround.com
They are an online vendor, and regular store (across the nation) that specializes in second hand gear.

If you must get new decks, and you have 250 bucks, dont go with stanton... they are kinda flimsy. I would go with Denon, as it also has optical outputs, and quality of Denon is known to be good.
