Music & Politics: War, Peace & Trance

I did a brief search on the forums and couldn't find anything. Does anyone know where I can articles or opinions about :
a. what trance does to one's mind, on the individual peaceful level
b. how gathering/clubbing can solve interpersonal tensions (example: www.tranceforpeace.com)
c. if trance has political potential on a global scale

Thanks in advance for any help! Remember that our music is more than just noise.

oh, and about your questions....

(And this is all my opinion)

You can't treat trance like it is a completely different entity than every other type of music. Trance is music, house is music, rock is music, metal is music, classical is music. We feel into this genre because our minds find it to be more appealing than other genres. If you really want to find out about those things search for music's effect on one's mind, music's political potential, and musical gatherings as a solution to interpersonal tensions. You can apply thiese theories and opinions to any style of genre; in your case trance.

each and every person listens to music that they like, and whatever makes them feel good in a time of unrest or uneasiness for them is what they are going to listen to. some people think that techno is the devils music, and that doesnt really work in the whole getting the world to like techno thing... but ya. techno unites all who listen to it, much like in the 70s and the hippies, they all listened to their rock and hippie music. techno unites the people that listen to it and enjoy it, brings us together in peace, thats it, plus it makes us feel good.
