My guess from your description, is that something is shorting out, and since all you did was install a stereo, try taking it out, and see if that fixes the problem... You may have something grounding where it shouldn't... |
I forgot to mention, the constant power wire for my deck blew so I just used a tester and hooked up the deck to a different wire that was just there for no apparent reason (there's 2 extra wires that have never been hooked up to anything). So I have my 8 wires that hook up for the speakers, 1 ground (black), and 1 power wire (yellow) hooked up correctly which leaves 3 more wires hanging from my car. The constant power source is blown so I tested the other 2 & there's power going through them. I hooked up the constant (red) from the deck to one of them (orange) and now I have 1 extra live wire just sitting there.
If there's any advice I can give you, DON'T EVER BUY FORD!
