I think that all who listen to and play hard house need to attend a musical re-education course. It's terible, the playground of un-talented producers who jumped on a bandwagon which now thankfully has stopped.
I think all those people who abandoned trance in 2001 in favour of hard house should ashamed of themselves.
Sorry to sound harsh but I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hard house

Hard House reminds me of Rave/Hardcore, and all it is, is music without emotion and build up. Tidy Boys can kiss my arse

Trance all the way baby. No hardhouse/trance (hardstyle) for me anymore. I stopped listening to it quite a while ago. It became boring very quick. For me everything from Dumonde and Cosmic Gate to Scot Project and Hennes & Cold to the real hardstyle like Technoboy, Dana and Pavo... it's too simple and monotonous for me. That doesn't mean I wouldn't go crazy in a club when they spin their tunes, but I prefer the 'softer' music.

I listen to various styles nowaydays, but mostly trance, progressive and techno (e.g. Mr. Sam, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Filterheadz, Lexicon Avenue, James Holden, Oxia, The Hacker). Much more my style.

I do like hard trance, but proper hard trance like Norman DJ - Go back.
But my passion/obsession has always been the softer trance i.e Chicane, Solar Stone, York, Ferry, Tiesto, Armin, Flash etc etc etc

Hard house ain't dead.Just cos Tidy Trax with their nauseating hoover hell seems to get all the attention nowadays doesn't mean that the genre is bust.Check out the likes of OD404,BK & Nick Sentience,Knuckleheadz and labels like Tripoli Trax and Nukleuz to get a glimpse of the good stuff.

As always,I like hardhouse as long as it is creative and not the same-old same-old hoover and blaring synth-boshing,like Tidy Trax and Sundissential keep churning out these days.

Hmm i prefer trance. But i do like a bit of hard house...

also i dont think people really understand what hard house is.. i mean for example. the fact that u just asked could Jet Lag possibly be hard house proves u dont really no what it is. And i see that a lot nowadays, people mistaking Hard House for Hard Trance. There is a major differece. I always recommend people listen to the Hard House Euphoria sereies and the Tidy Boys and Tidy Girls Annual to get a good idea what its all about. I dont think its dead, but trance is better

Tidy bashing

I think u got it wrong when u accuse tidy of putting out "synth bashing hoovers"..its not like that anymore..just check out guyver/riot bros new offering..as well as the freak

And also i think its important to keep an open mind..6 months ago i wouldnt have given a BK tune ANY attention..but now i think twice..Revolution was awesome and was even included in one of ferry corsten's sets during his 4 hour show with armin earlier this year..it all depends on how it can fit in a set and what affect it could have on the crowd when played/positioned correctly..music is fusing..hard,uplifting,techy,breaks..when put together by talented producers the combination is exciting and dancefloor devastating!!

Cheers
Shaun

Hard house ranks up there with black metal as the music genre I despise the most. Absolute rubbish, polution to my ears.
