ive been on an everlasting search for the perfect trance tune. you get good tracks, and ones that come close to perfect, but not ones without a flaw. we need a trance track that defines the kind of music we listen to. when you define something, isnt it justifed to have an example? yeah you can name tracks off, but you need that perfect track to be like "so thats why everyone likes trance so much". i dont know if ill ever find that perfect tune, and i may die trying. we need a dj to combine all the essential sounds of trance that put us to a different level, the piano, the synths, the bass, all combined into one. if someone ever made this track, one that everyone liked, not one person disagreed on it to be the greatest track of all time, the "definition of trance" then there would be peace on earth.

yeah...heheheh. that's deep man. but i like it. my gawd...the perfect trance tune...what a killer that would be. phew! i dunno why, but i always think of push - universal nation. but i know that not everyone would like it...i dunno...hopefully one day there will be such a track if it is possible, since we all have different tastes in the trance scene.

yeah its like 1:47 in the morning here and i was pretty damn bored and just though of it. i was listening to john digweed (bedrock)-heaven scent. beautiful song. maybe one day though...we can always dream.

Push - Universal Nation is THE tune for me

Thats one of the key aspects of this music every differant song is gonna mean something differant to someone else... its all about levels and each and every tune affects people on differant levels, but once in a while you get something so good i think that it makes it easier for everyone to appreciate it on the same level or close too because it is just so good!
you guys sorta get what im trying to say? :P hehe its cool thats what it sabout too taking you to somewhere being involved with it... love it... i think you just gottaw ait around till the majority finds a song they click with it and then theyl open up... i know this was the case with myslef and the tune :P binary finary - 1998 :P classic oh yeh, but perfect, close :P

look at my suggestion on the forum of suggestions to the site - i suggest that in the site we will have a list and everybody can vote only one time of there favorite perfect tune ( suppose everybody can vote about 5 or 10 trackz by the order he love them ) and than, that way we can know after weeks, or months wich everybody most favorite perfect tune... the list will update by every body votes...
and i suggest also have a list of the perfect dj's etc etc...

Eeeh my opinion is that trance.. should be and mostly is different pro each person.. thats why you have all the different types of trance.. so it would be impossible to represent "trance" with just one song..

you got some point there but i dont totally agree with you because you can see in that list that a lot of people will vote the same... even now in this threads three people vote:

i don't think there can ever be a perfect trance tune..
"perfect" is differently percieved by different individuals.. and therfore you will never reach a universally perfect tune.
it'll be individually perfect tunes..
my perfect tune... ever and ever.. is probably something like
Tony Walker - Field of Joy
or something similar
with energy, no cheese, throbbing basslines, makes u wanna cry

well sed kev, there is so many different styles of trance (someof us like and some of us hate) that there can never be a 'perfect' trance tune... but something that comes close for me is in theupliftin/melodic department is Flutlicht - Icarus.. where as forthe progressive department for me it would be Mad Dogz - Better Make Room (James Holden Remix)
