Is this a good mixer? Think I'm gonna buy this mixer with my 1200 mk2 decks.
Need to know if the crossfader is quick?
Anybody can help me out?

A friend of mine has this and it is OK. Not a great mixer but you get lots of features for the money. The crossfader is not too quick, if anything the volume sliders are too quick. My friend has had his mixer amost a year (with lots of use) and the x-fader is pretty "crackily" (they are replaceable of course).
I don't know if this is your first mixer, if it is I suggest getting a cheaper 3-ch with fewer features. Like the Numark DM-3000 (I got mine for about $120 USD) and I love it. If you want more features like kill switches and volume meters for each channel check out the DM-3002. I forget if the DM-3002 cost the same as the Stanton, if they do you might as well go for the Staton, otherwise consider this line of Numarks.

i have heard bad reviews on this mixer. I have a Vestax PCV275, which i feel is much superior.

yeah dude... it aint the best mixer in the world but i have used one too and they are great to start out on if its your first mixer and your on a budget i would reccomend it. you will like it. You gotta look at the price range like the vestax pcv 275 kicks the shit out of it... if you can afford that instead by all means get that but pnly get the stanton cause your on a budget. Its a good mixer for the price... also i dunno what prices are like where you are... the vestax (pcv 275) is alot cheaper in the US... its about the price of the stanton mixer over here (i live in australia) so if the prices are like that over where you live, i would reccomend saving up and getting the vestax its just somewhere like here in australia the pcv is very expensive... like 1500 (aus dollars) so the stanton would be a viable alternative for people on a budget so if you are able to get the vestax for a pretty decent price or not much differance between the stanton definitly save up dude cause the differance in terms of quality and the overall mixer is huge (compared to a small price diferance) but then again if you are on a serious budget,i would consider the stanton!

Well I spin techno for 2 years now and really need a good quality mixer.
Don't have money for the DJM500/600
I Think I'll go for the Technics mixer....it's a battle mixer so the crossfader must be in good condition.
Thnx for the reactions!

oh yeah man if youve been spinning that long!
if you want a good fader, why not consider the pcv 275 tho dude the fader is meant to be able to take over 1 million passes! cause of the "pcv" technology

I have stanton rm-3s...only thing I don't like about it, is its sound quality...The only thing I like about it over the vestax 275 is the eq's....Imo it is a nice mixer if you're starting out and want a lot of features...
