Since I'm a huge fan of his work and think he one of the most underrated producers in the electronic music scene, this is kinda an appreciation thread for his work. So, for those who know him, what's your opinion on him on and what tunes have you heard?

"Leaving college at 17 in 1995, Andy bought his first set of decks and became a regular feature at local record stores Eastern Bloc and Manchester Underground, searching for the latest White Labels and Imports that would later shape his unique sound.

It was around this time that Andy met producers Evolution. Impressed with his demo, Evolution asked Andy Ling to collaborate on what was to become the first release for their fledgling label Fluid Recordings UK."

I haven't heard the first release, "Anuna" but would be very interested to hear it. Most of his best work was in 1997, when he did to date what I think is his best work, Mombassa - Cry Freedom (Andy Ling's Aryan Vocal Mix). This tune is very dark in places yet got one of the most beautiful melodies I've heard in trance. He manages to use several elements of many different styles in his remixes which is something I really like. What separates his sound a lot from other trance artists at the time such as Sunday Club and Qattara is that he never uses any piano in his tracks which was very popular in Brittish trance tracks back then, but he was able to produce incredible tracks based around different elements.
