I was in a discussion with some people as to what genre artists like Utah Saints, Moby, Hybrid, Orbital would fall under, a few seem to thing along the lines of just electronica but some people also argued mainstream type stuff. Don't post your opinions on how much you hate the certain person I just want your opinion on what classifies these people in a certain genre. Thanks!

IMHO, Moby is what I call dancepop, since he's got too much damn rock in his sets. See him live and you'll know. Hybrid do progressive, trance and breaks depending on their mood. Utah Saints.. I don't remember, were they from 95 or so? Don't care. Orbital can be trance (Halcyon + on + On Are we here?, etc), but they have been on the artsy side recently, like autotechre, squarepusher, etc...

i dont think Moby can be classed in any category..theres soul, jazz, dance, breakbeats

hes one big melting pot....but i dont really like his tunes
