hello

i jus recently visited amsterdam and got to goto a club called "KREMLIN" and Paul van dyk was spinning.. it was a really nice set and i had a good time but i noticed one thing.

US Club/raves are mostly dominated by candy ravers, Big UFO/Caffeine pants, glowsticks and beads but i noticed in amsterdam, the attire was really fashionable, i mean i almost couldn't get in the club because of my baggy pants and 2 of my friends couldnt get in because of tennis shoes (they ended up having a good time at redlight district anyway) =)

is it like this in all european rave/clubs or just this one?? i was really surprised also to see people just smoking marijuana everywhere but of course.. it was amsterdam..

Well....Europe is a big place as is the United States....and in many different clubs, you'll find many different people. I know we've got a lot of 'candy-raver' kids at a lot of the Electronica clubs, but we've also got a lot of the 'fashionable' people as well at many of the 21+ clubs. Just depends on where you go...

kremlin is a party night. all clubs in holland want proper dressed people. big houseparties like mayday and innercity dont care what people wear.

using drugs is NOT illegal in holland. clubs dont like the use of drugs, at houseparties you may bring some weed or pills without trouble.

in holland you may carry 5 grams of weed or 4 pills or half a gram of cocaine/heroine/speed

You may carry 5 grams of weed but what you say about the pills and the cocaine/heroine/speed isn't true!!! Damn, who told you that?? Some junk or what!?!?

At raves (or "houseparties" as you call them) you can't bring any pills!! When you enter a rave you are being searched for drugs... they look everywear!! They searh your wallet, even if you have some chewing-gum they will look in the package. Sometimes they'll even look in your shoes!!!!
Ok, 80% of the people at those raves have pills but that's only because they hid it that well!

I fuckin study law and have visited all raves in germany and holland goddamned!

I was talking about what is allowed in holland on the streets.

on parties normally you can take 2 pills and on bag of weed.

but some parties are strict (id&t)

when I also visited gabberparties like digital overdose they never were strict.

in germany it also depends. in dortmund when they find drugs they throw it away. in hannover you go to the police!

if you get caught with drugs you are stupid. just take it in front or put in between your balls!

oops sorry I overreacted...

I notice too many kids at these big events in the U.S. dressed like clowns. Gets annoying. Glow in the dark this & that. Too many toys. I go to hear good quality trance. Hard to find these days in U.S. PVD comes to Twilo every other month, and other than that, a good EUROPEAN DJ pops up here & there. Saw Tiesto twice in the last 3 months. Oakenfold is touring this summer with the AREA ONE tour. People in the U.S. really don't have a clue for the most part. The small minority of us that do, usually are found on this website, or others like these. You know it's bad when you find yourself listening to newer/better music on your computer, than you can hear out at a club or party.

I'm not really sure what it is like over in Europe, but it seems to be the same over here from what I have read. It totally depends on what type of club you go to. I know that up in Toronto, there are certain clubs that cater to the party/candy kid, while the other clubs have dress codes. I personally love going to the really nice clubs, where you don't have to necessarily "dress up" but still have to look nice. One of them in particular...System Soundbar on Friday nights...amazing.

Smoking ..umm..something

Cyber Kids are Ok even if I am an asshole is a shirt! but one thing I've always noticed is everywhere I go clubbing in the UK, I'm noticed as a drug dealer always! I used to take gear but only have the odd spliff and bomb of whizz now after having a nasty time on pills, but yeah I'm cool with the cybers, and the Ben Sherman mob too, but even though I have a few drinks pissed up beer boys in clubs piss me off sometimes, especially when they try and dance usually knocking everyone flying! I feel like saying 'why don't u fuck off down the Lion for happy hour, pull a slag, and have a fight!' sometimes. But In a way I respect everyone in the scene but If your a competitive pill taker who drops 8 pills, then has some GHB, or Special K in one night you can fuck off because I have no time for people like that who could easily die on the dancefloor all and give scene a bad name, after all I know people who go on about having 8 -10 its probably bullshit but still it makes u look a prize wanker! As I do though I respect everyone on the tracne scene! The best Scene!
