I dunno.. i would love something like that,
but maybe GU's proggie (& almost tribal recently) sounds don't match so good with Holden's style.

I think cuz holden has a different kind of prog then the GU series, they would have him do a Nubreed instead...he's also an up and coming DJ and they're usually on nubreeds.

GU's been all styles, prog house, prog trance, house, deep house, breaks..They could easily do a James Holden GU..as his style fits the GU banner: "PROGRESSIVE". But i doubt it'll happen for a long time, as he is still a newcomer to the worldwide DJ scene compared to the other DJ's - Nick Warren's past 40 years old, Sasha's around 30, same with Digweed, Danny Tenaglia's not far off 50.

If anything, he'll do a Nubreed. But GU or Nubreed, i dun care..i just want to see what he would do with a release on the Boxed label

GU has nothing to do with the skill of a producer, its the DJ'ng, thats why you see Deep Dish, Nick Warren or Sasha on GU...they are great DJ's, when and if James Holden(who is one of the best producers around), antes up his DJ'n, he will definately be getting a nod from GU. I think James Zabiela should get a GU within a year.

no james holden a GU fuck no...not until he learns how to beatmatch. well james zabelia i dont think hes ready for a GU. if you do a GU series...basically you have been djing for quite a while. i mean @ least 10 years on ur resume.

He could use a computer for his mixing, just like he did for his essential mix.

Aren't GUs mixed with protools anyway? But yeah, like some of you said, Holden is a much better producer than a DJ. There are a lot more people who deserves a GU/NuBreed more than him. (Zabiela, Cass, Lucien Foort, Ian Ossia, etc.)
