2nd, yes vocals can be cheesy, but if they are done well, I think they can actually make a song better, put the human element into it and make it more emotional!

The vocals in Southern Sun is quality because they are being sung by a proffesional vocalist, and the phrases she outputs actually makes sense. It's not just some bullshit about a cheesy subject...
Vocals like those James Holden uses totally owns. They're just like normal samples he created on the computer. Indeed, that kind of art is impressiv and distinctive. Also, all these hindu-phrases used as samples in some tracks owns
