All based on different religions/cultures/beliefs.

I'm christian, I pray I'm going to heaven.

Depends what you believe, I guess. Most religions state that the body decays and your soul goes to heaven or hell (after judgement) and continues being for all eternity.

well my mom's family is roman catholic...very strictly brought up...all went to catholic school and named after saints...i was sort of brought up catholic. i had my communion and confirmation but i don't go to church every sunday. i am more spiritual, but i do lean towards a lot of the catholic beliefs though. i believe truely evil people who have no desire to change or be forgiven will go to hell (very few people will go to hell though). i think every day people who commit every day sins like lie and cheat etc. will spend their time in purgatory before going into heaven. once we're in heaven, i think we will all exist as souls....not human bodies. for one thing, we can't age since it will be for eternity. i think this whole life is just a test and there is definitely something much better awaits us and we shouldn't be afraid to die. just be a good person in this life and try to do right by god and most importantly, forgive and forget. life is too short...i also sure hope there will be music in heaven or that would SUCK!

great thread by the way

I agree with what you said.
I'm christian, not catholic. But in all religions they worship or praise their dominate "being". As for me, I am quite scared to do, I have committed many sins in my life, but like you said, forgive and to forget. I also do not attend church every sunday, and it's okay to do that. Not everyone can devote their time practicing thier own religion, no need to worry. Just as long as you're sorry, or believe in god, there's no worries through life. I believe that god is watching over me right now and he is always trying to help me to become a good person. God bless.

Several thousand years ago, a small tribe of ignorant near-savages wrote various collections of myths, wild tales, lies, and gibberish. Over the centuries, these stories were embroidered, garbled, mutilated, and torn into small pieces that were then repeatedly shuffled. Finally, this material was badly translated into several languages successively. The resultant text, creationists feel, is the best guide to the complex and technical subject of life.

Well said

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.
