I was wondering if someone can help me.
I would like to produce some music but I don't know which is the necessary equipment. I was thinking in a Roland groovebox 303 and my laptop. But I don't know if that's everyhting I need.

All you need is your computer. It works for James Holden, so make it work for you =)

Get as many softwares as possible and combine them with any hardware you might have. I use two really old-school casios and...
rebirth 2 (synth)
absynth (take a guess )
fruity loops (really recomended)
makewave (sequencer)
goldwave (sound editor)
sound forge (sound editor)
pro-53 (synth)
vaz 2010 (synth)
trying to figure out how to use buzzmachines and cubase
Encore (midi sequencing)
hammerhead (sampler / drum machine)
tuareg (sampler / drum machine)
...
yup, I believe that's all I have Even though most of them are just demos NO $$$ available at the moment
