It's always nice to have dust covers. I'm pretty sure you can buy them separately from stores like htfr.com or ebay. I use cloth pieces to cover my vinyl crates and mixer though so it should be fine but that would only protect it from dust and not impacts so make sure nothing comes near the decks to knock your tone arms or needles and damage them.

whehe i think it's important to hold you table's and mixer clean i mean every time the needle meets a piece of dust your speakers go like kkkkktttttttssssss 2

now thats not a nice song

i always put my dustcovers on, then just throw a blanket overtop of everything (so it covers my mixer)

i figure when you have that much $$ invested into something, you might as well take the extra 30 seconds to "pack them up" when you're done

i can really notice the difference between my pitch slider and other people's who don't cover their tables up

i say just throw a light blanket over your tables, towels might be a bit heavy
or just find two boxes that are bigger than your tables, and just put them openside down on top of your tables, and cover it with a sheet

bah, you don't need dust covers. Just get a can of compressed air. It will clean in places your fingers can only dream of reaching! Also a cheap air purifier in your room helps too. Usually you have a lot of electronics and the distinctly negative charge they emit attracts dust like a mofo!

Can of compressed air and ionic air filter!

Hi folks, been away for a bit but now I'm back.
I bought my techs used, and they didn't have covers. I didn't used to bother covering them, I just cleaned the dust off with my fingers whenever i was mixing (about 6 times a day ). Now I have some flightcases to put them in, and I just leave them in the cases and close the lid when I'm not using them. Also, it gives me some extra deskspace, since the decks take up most of it!
