Does Any-1 Like The Old Trance Better Than The New??? What I mean by this is the trance that came out between 97-98, the trance tracks like Lustral - Everytime, Fabiola - New Years Day, Franchino - 999, Anomaly - Calling your name, Push - Univesal Nation, Taste Expierience - Summersalt.... For me I think the reason I really like listening to those tracks are because it brings back alot of memories of when I started listening to trance.. For some reason I think those tracks are better produced than the ones that have been comming out since the end of 1999-2000... The lustral - Everytime Naline & Kane mix does it for me...

Well youv'e got a point there...I also love those tunes but I don't think its because the new ones are bad - its more because the old ones turn into a classic favorite sounds and the good new ones will be that way in a year...
And about the produce you mentioned I think the new ones produced much better and professionally - take for example
Cosmicman-I love you
Cosmican is new producer and the produce of this track is great and very professional for a new one... I think in a couple of month he turn into a supreme one...
Well only my opinion...

well jay-d, i have ta say yes to a certain extent cause i've always been more of an uplifting/epic/melodic trancer than progressive. don't get me wrong, i like prog too but uplifting/epic/melodic is what i lean towards. sure there are still some pretty good trackz comin' out these days, but it doesn't come close to the amount of quality trackz that came out a few years ago.

I really loved the SOund of 99.... Like Matt Darey - Liberation, Lost Witness - Red Sun Risiing, Gouryella - Gouryella, System F - OUt of the blue, Agnelli & Nelson - Everyday.... But whats good with trance is that it always progresses..and changes..im glad its doing this because people will not get tired of one style ..... if every song sounded similar to Gouyella - Gouryella.... most of you would think ohh wow that would be great ...but in honesty i probably woul dget tired of itpretty fast....... 2001 is very Progressive year....Trance is in a progressive stage...and i beleive it will stay that way for year or so..till a dominate style will come out...for example the dominate style of 99 - 2000 was teh Uplifting/epic style of tracks..... I love new and old....but tunes that are older always touch people more then the newer ones because of the memories behind them =)

I have been listening to Trance since 94 and I still think that Trance is get better and better , perhaps you think the older ones are better is because that is what got you into Trance in the first place .

i love trance... both old and new...

the other day i was just fucking around in traktor, mixing some stuff up... and asked my friend if gouryella-tenshi got slower at the end because i couldnt get it to stay beat-matched for shit towards the end... and i got the reply "dude... stop listening to old trance"

kinda bugs me... a good track is a good track... no matter what the release date is...

i love hearing mixes with a lot of new shit and even some old stuff...

i mean really... has the crowd ever not gone fucking crazy when pvd spins for an angel?

Older trance for me is always going to be played, never to be replaced with the new stuff. I still crank and out and boogy my ass of to cafe del mar, for an angel, binary finary, lustral, motorcraft, etc etc...Now though I gotta say the new tunes get their play time aswell. Tracks these days cosmicman-i luv u (nice pick lynx, lucky ) maria rubia-say it plus many more.
Gotta luv the old but also appreciate the new. You'll never know when you'll miss another for an angel or cafe del mar.

peace

Read This! I left these out....

Viagra - Secrets
Tekara - Breath in you (Lost Tribe Mix)
Kamaya Painters - Endless Wave
Hidden Sound System - I Know
Lost Tribe - Gamemaster (Signum Mix)
Fragma - Toca Me (Original)
Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone (Dumonde & Signum Mixes)

Those are other songs that I could think of relating to this topic....
