too comfortable of a bed?

I was just wondering today if its possible to have too comfortable of a bed? I mean, last night I went to bed @ 4AM after some heavy drinking and I woke up @ 9:30AM and could not go back to sleep. This is on my college dorm room matress mind you. Now, on the otherhand, at home, I would have no problem sleeping in until @ least 2PM the next day. The difference in beds is my matress at home has a feather bed over top of the regular matress. The college one is not 'uncomfortable' but it doesn't compare to the one at home. For some reason I wanted someone elses insight on the matter, because, personally, i can't figure out why this happens

How long have you been in college there? Sometimes it's a psychological thing, like if you're used to your own bed your body might be refusing to fall asleep because there is no natural trigger to do so that you're used to. When I first went to college I couldn't sleep for the first 3 or 4 weeks because I was frightened by sleeping in the same room as someone else since I'd never had a roommate before (boyfriend not counting). People's sleep cycles are heavily psychological, we learned all about these weird tiny changes in habits that completely throw the person off and they get totally bent out of shape and tired...hope your problem goes away...
