Is typical emotional trance beginning to turn you off?
As always, I've been listening to a lot of trance lately, and up to this point I've been so loaded up with uplifting trance that all evoke emotions of love or sadness, that I'm starting to get a little turned off to it. Right now the songs that I'm really digging are the tunes without the typical "trance" emotions. Songs like
Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (of Course)
DJ Tiesto - Lethal Industry
Ferry Corsten - Punk
Three Drives - Air Traffic
Solicitous - Furthermost
Cequenza - Deep Blue
Does anybody else feel the same way? I like the uplifting stuff, I think it's just been kinda outplayed as of late. Maybe I'm just not listening to the right DJ's...

hmm... i wouldn't say i'm being turned off by it. I mean.. i still love Cosmicman's "I Love You" and ferry's stuff is still great. If anything... maybe the effect isn't as strong as it used to be?
Oh BTW, i've taken a liking to FC's Punk lately as well

Ive always liked uplifting and I always will, but the tracks i love the most are the ones that ar brimming with energy, there that ones that get me going, whether it be dark, uplifting whatever, as long as its energetic i tend to like it.

it kind of depends on my mood, but it does seem like i've built up some kind of tolerance towards uplifting. probably for that reason some deep prog & dnb tracks have given me some pretty amazing feelings.
i'm afraid i'm starting to treat uplifting as a genre a bit on the cheesy side. god forbid!
not that i'd bash it, i still love stuff by tiesto and avb, fc, etc at any time
