hey people i want to burn this avi i got but the file is too big, so i know i have to split it but i don't know what's a good program to use.
I'm also using nero to burn the vcd

your going to have to convert the avi file to mpg first. then split it, then burn it. all the tutorials you could ever want, are here.. good luck!

use svcd, much better quality vcd is most of the times lower then vhs
but don't use svcd if you have a bad source

Is this a DivX quality avi? Not some crap one off Kazaa etc? If so I agree - definitely go for SVCD...
