Although, I've been spinning a long time, it's pretty much all been with vinyl (some CDs but only on single player units). I've been trying to save some bucks to get a dual CD unit and from what I've seen, the Tascam CD-302 looks pretty nice. The new Denon has sort of caught my eye as well. Has anyone here worked with several different units...and if so, could you sort of give me a comparison breakdown of what you worked with and any good points and bad points for any of them? Technics made a real nice one but they are real hard to find and real expensive (they are only single player units, too). I know that Tascam is a good name and usually very reliable but they cost around $1200 or so. So if anyone can tell me what's good and what's not good..I'd like to hear about it. Thanks.

Hello!

if you're looking at a single piece dual cd unit
then go with the denons
i've heard nothing but praise from peeps about them

and that's what the company i work for puts in most of their stacks that i take to shows

Yeah? The new Denons Do look pretty nice. I'd like to find somewhere around here that has both the Denon and the Tascam so I could compare first hand. I know that they both cost about the same. I sort of like the fact that you can split the Tascam so you can have a deck on each side of your mixer. The Denon will read a CD/RW won't it? That's an important factor.

from a denon owner

i own the denon 2600f's and i love em dearly. i learned to spin on vinyl and it is really accomidating. a friend learned to spin with the denon's last year and now spins vinyl, so if your interested in doing two i recommend the denon's.

the new numark dual player came out though, and i've been playing with that in the shops...it seems to have as many effects as the denon, but (unlike the denon) they are all loaded at once. and they are like half as much

the denon's effects are better quality though

anything you need to know about the denon's...gimme a holla.

oh..and the americanDJ proscratch1 scratch function blows the denon's scracth out the water (but they are single units and a little more than da denons.)

and yes it reads burnt CDs (and if you have softencode it has ac3 out put, so you can lay two tracks in 5.1 and mix in 5 dimensions with a second mixer..if your insane and crafty that is...you need to mixers of course)
