Just finished downloading the album just now. Having flicked briefly through the tracks, it sounds MEGA cheesy, like flip n fill or some euro trance shite like that.

Ferry just lost a lot of respect from me for this album i'm afraid

consider the market he's trying to sell this cd to...which is japan. they're used to the so called "cheesy" material

Listen to the music that the people in Japan typically hear, he's trying to reach to that audience, why do you think the album is a Japan release only? I haven't heard the album yet, but let me guess, it sounds like trance, but boardering on the happy hardcore sound (not the BPM). Something like Super Eurobeat (music from many animes, ie. Initial D).

I've only heard Together, but I dont think its cheesey at all. Its perfectly well-produced Corstenesque. The thing that might be misleading though, is that the beat is slightly soft and the lead melody is ultra-uplifting I assume this is his next single under System F? Well I sure hope theres a hard remix.

I was not a fan of Solstice, it just isn't the old Fresh sounding quality producing I'm used to hearing from Ferry.

Now that I think about it, that Japan theory makes a lot of sense, because I have a little bro who watches a lot of Anime and Solstice sounds like one of those sappy over emotional songs that Anime directors like to use for their themes songs.

Anyways, I'd like to check out the rest of this album. Solstice wasn't my style, but most catchy melodic stuff I tend to like.

It's alright, nothing to cream your pants over. You can definately tell that this album is an attempt to reach out to the Japanese market. I don't think I would buy it, even if it was released in the western market.
