Vincent de Moor

How come no one ever talks about this guy? I know he hasnt produced much lately (although he has a new EP comming out), but in terms of classics he still isnt mentioned.

Recently I've gotten into him. I got The Additional Works Part I and I must say that Fly Away, Green Heaven, and Sunflowers are all awesome! He has very nice melodies that are long, unlike nowadays we have short melodies that keep looping. He went a little more progressive in The Additional Works Part II but all 4 tracks on it are still well produced and interesting.

What say you about VdM?

He is one of the most original trance producers and remixers imo and i like most of his productions & remixes.

Fly Away is my fav VdM production and Pulp Victim - Dreams Last For Long (VdM Remix) my fav VdM remix.

He is one of those artists everyone likes but no one gets excited about... personally i love his work... Original 'Flowtation' 'Green Heaven' 'Fly Away' are all superb! 'Carte Blanche' Ferry tends to get the credit for, but as we all know its one of the 'TUNES' of alltime! Lots of more of his productions and remixes are top quality definitely worth spendin sometime over

anyways bed is call

Think I've got quite a rare vincent de moor tune 'you shining down'. Quite old school sounding. Made in about 1998.

I'm a rather large Vincent de Moor fan myself. I'd have to say my favourite productions of his are the following:

Darwin's Voyage
Emotions
Eternity
Green Heaven
I Know Your Dreams
Olympia
Orion City
Sunflowers
United 4 Ever
Worlds Of Doubt

Most of those are (fairly) well known but very very nice melodic trance in classic Dutch fashion. A mark of a truly good producer that he can produce so many tunes in similar fashion and yet remain highly listenable. Nice list Vesa, some tunes you mentioned I haven't heard but as you said it's rather difficult to find some of them in any format so I may have to do without.

And I don't suppose either you or liquidxxd has Spring Drops?

i agree VDM is the best, but...

many people love his music production such as

flowtation
flying away
Golden girls - Kinetic (vincent De Moor mix)
2HD - Sunflakes (vincent De Moor remix)
even No hesitation... (Hard style)

but his web site and also CF label does not manage to serve well for fan.
CF web site still underconstruction, also VDM site too very long.

the only bad thing is i couldn't touch with his musical life for internet interview or email talking. they don't answer they don't react anything. that's why they are not well known for fan very much.

so i want them to let us know more musical scene for people or fan.

try to listen his short music on my site. it's wma straming file on.

search "vincent" as name.

the language is Korean but you can listen on directly.

P.S. if you see any VDM's photo or info plz let me know.
i want to having some email interview or talking with VDM.

An interview with VdM sounds good. Here are some pics you requested:

Looks cool in the first pic. And some info on him in case you wanted it:

Born in Delft, Holland, Vincent De Moor started his musical career on the local Laser Squad label under the nickname Fix to Fax. He's since appeared on many labels under many names, including Sidewalk, Vincent De Moor and, still, Fix to Fax.

In 1997 he released "Flowtation" on the Deal Records label which reached number 54 in the UK sales chart and launched his international career. His 1998 single "Orion City" was released all over Europe, being licensed to the UK (Universal), Germany (Zyx), Scandinavia (Flex), and Spain (Blanco Y Negro).

In 2001 he scored big with "Fly Away", a club anthem that appeared in every respectable dance chart and playlist around the globe, reaching number 1 in some.

He started remixing around 1996 and has so far mainly applied his talents to European music, remixing stuff for artists like Miss Jones, Wavecatcher, Ariel, V-Tracks, MTF, Little Jam, De Bos, Convert, Urban Spirrits, Celvin Rotane, Soulfood, Glam, Baracca Destroy, Pulp Victim, 7th Point, Discodroids, Absolom, Human Resources, Chicane, Dixie's Gang, Symetry C, Denzil & Dwayne, Armin, Mac Zimms and Dolphin.
