Metal Gear Solid Special Mission & PS2

i recently traded in my PS & games for a PS2, i decided to keep MGS tho cause it's the best game ever made, and MGS: Special Missions
problem is tho, i can't play MGS:Special missions on the PS2, it keeps comin up with error:wrong disc when i put the MGS disc in...(ny1 with Special Mission will know what im talkin about) for those who don't

when u start up MGS:Special missions, it asks u to take out SM and put a disc from MGS in there, it reads it, u take that out, and put SM back in, and then u play it

only it won't work with the PS2 ny1 know why??? and if there's a way to play it how??? or is MGS:SM doomed to sit on my shelf, forever a memory of what once was........

You're better off asking this on a gaming-specific site. IGN is pretty good, but you have to be signed up and be an "insider" member to use them. I'll post a thread and ask for you there. Someone is bound to know.

I believe the problem you are having is down to a compatibility issue and, unfortunately, is unavoidable.

Don't cry though: being released reasonably soon is Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, which features Metal Gear Solid 2 in its entirely plus several fun-sounding additions including a tonne of VR missions like those in Special Missions. You can find information and screenshots by clicking here.

I found MGS2 to be far more engaging than the original so I'll be buying Substance when it comes out here in the UK. Hope that helps.
