what do u think the most commercial track is? or more like, what the average person would think of when they hear the word techno. (cuz if they hear the word trance, they just go "oh, you mean techno, rite?")

i would have to say the blade theme/opener (im not sure which one)

the real name of the song is "missle" by "the pump panel". very widely known...and its a pretty cool song, too.

like, i was at a more upscale arcade with lasertag (really cool. lots of glow in the dark stuff, smoke/fog machines, blacklights galore!) they played "missile" in the background. i wanted to drop the whole lasergun and vest and just stop to dance to the music.

the real name is NOT missile missile records is one of the labels it was released on. the track itself is new order - confusion (the pump panel's reconstruction mix). it's called "reconstruction" because there's another mix "floatation" that is different...

and it was originally released long before the movie was shot. "blade1" made that track highly commercial, but before that it was considered a true acid trance anthem. an underground one that is...

i remembered seein it on a online record shop a while back. all i remembered out of the standard "producer/remixer-title-label" format was the pump panel (the remixer) and over time i must have mixed up the label and track name itself.

I think Safri Duo - "The Bongo Song" got very commercial for a minute a while back.

At my highscool it was DJ Jean - The Launch, Vengaboys - We like to party (if that counts), Alice Deejay - Better off alone, Darude - Sandstorm, Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400, and now Rapture seems to be that popular...

Definately has to be Sandstorm. Years ago when i started listening to electronic music everyone i knew was like "techno is soo stupid" recently though dance music has gotten a little more popular and everyone i know is like "man i love that new techno song 'sandstorm', it is so awesome" Gag me please.

Lasgo - Something seems to be the mad crazy for "techno" around here right now at my school. Even when here in Boston we get some awesome DJs to the clubs... I've seen Tiesto, Sasha, PvD, Hybrid, and gonna go see PvD again in 3 weeks! But that doesn't mean people know the difference...
