well apart from van dyk it was mint! thank fuck for JFK!
Marc west and JFK both had sets prior to van dyk, JFK played a fucking wicked set before, banging uplifting/hard trance.
van dyk comes on, on the back of a slightly slower marc west set, played boring, slow, repetive 'pvd mix cd' style trance, which is pure bliss to listen to on a sunday evening, but not on a sat nite!
the effort passion went to to make the place mint for him, comes in having 3 bouncers protecting him in total, plays boring and slow and then fucks off, woohoo!
add that to the fact i dont think u could have got more people threw them doors if u turned it into a aslyum center! lol!
JFK made it all good tho, mans a ledgend

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.
