So I went to Gatecrasher last night to see Tiesto/Hardwick/Halliwell
WTF was Tiesto playing !? It could only be described as Hard Tek-House. Dark heavy bass all night. Not what you expect from him AT ALL. Luckily Hardwick played the best 2 hour set of uplifting trance I have heard in many a moon to save the day... is Tiesto trying to tell us something ? He finished up with GTR-Mistral, but other than that I thought he was AWFUL. And, as a big fan, thats not something I say lightly ...
Anyone know if Hardwicks sets get listed anywhere on the net ?

Well here is the tracklist for the second part of Tiesto's global dj set from 2 weeks ago. I'm assuming that this is pretty close to what he played. Tiesto seems to be addicted to hard stuff lately.
10 [00.00] Viframa - Cristalle (Katana Intro Mix)
11 [04.14] Funkerman - Flashback Radio
12 [08.20] Benjamin Bates - Locked Up (Bates 45 Mix)
13 [12.04] Marc et Claude - The History of Acid House
14 [16.30] Cor Fijneman ft. Jan Johnston - Venus (DJ Tiesto Remix)
15 [22.50] Matt Darey - Electo Buzz
16 [27.09] M1 - Heaven Sent (Michael Woods Club Mix)
17 [33.40] Marco V - Echoes (Marco V.ision Remix)
18 [37.32] E-Cutz/DJ Snowman - And Then They Start to Dance (Simon Eve Remix)
19 [44.06] Max Walder - Samba del Costa
20 [47.45] DJ Tiesto ft. Junkie XL - Obsession (Frank Biazzi Remix)
21 [50.47] Dark Monks - Insane (Steve Murano Vocal Mix)
BTW, I actually like this set.

You're not allowed to complain cos he plays totally out of the norm ?
If you like Oasis, and you go to a concert of theirs, you expect to hear their stuff, if they start playing classical music I don't think it's that wrong to moan about it a little.
But hey, Hardwick wiped the floor with him, so I'm not moaning - I had a storming night.

I went last night to GC in London for Tiesto. I thought it was just me thinking he was crap. But that was the biggest pile of poo I've ever heard.
If I wanted to hear tech-trance I'd got to a f11cking tech-trance club.
My faith in headline acts is dwindling by the year. Also I could go into a major rant about the people travelling down to GC in Heaven and thinking they own the f11cking place. Plus bit of an eclectic crowd.
Again, over hyped and disappointed.
I'm going back next month for Ferry and Nu NRG live, but if that's sh1te as well that'll be my last ever GC.
Sorry to moan, but I've been to lots better nights where the DJ has been a complete unknown and had an amazing time.
Just a bit disappointed really.

Agreed.
Didn't Halliwell do it for you though ? I thought that was the best I've ever seen him...

Because he's Dutch and they prefer cheese?
Last time I saw Tiesto (November) he was mint. Good on him if he's playing techier sets, the euphoric-anthem-after-euphoric-anthem style most of the big names stick to is getting old

Werd! People who are stuck on the epic-hands-in-the-air trance mentality just don't get it. Variety and contrast is what makes an artist stand out, not following the same formula over and over.
I saw Tiesto last week in Amsterdam for the 7th time in 3 years and I have to say that his new style is way more sophisticated and classy than the Tiesto from the past. Or maybe Tiesto plays in Holland way better than how he plays in America.
He played warm and fat progressively uplifting tech trance that I just love more than anything . Come on, and he still played major trance stormers like Scott Bond vs. Solar Stone-The 3rd Earth and his own remix of Venus. Beatmatching was also better than what I expect of him, and track placement was genius as always.
