Global Underground possibly bankrupt.
The rumours were already spreading about Global Underground shutting down. Therefore the following message was found on their messageboard: "The directors of Global Underground have voluntarily appointed administrators to restructure the company and help manage it through the current difficult financial climate that a lot of the industry is suffering. This is to dispel recent message board gossip on the subject"
However, reliable sources tell us that they’ve received official notifications from GU that they can no longer pay their invoices. It seems that the existence of one of the most appreciated and followed CD series has come to an end. With the 25th release waiting on the shelves, Global Underground is possibly declared bankrupt. The year 2002 was a bad year for the music industry in general, also for Andy Horsfield and James Todd from GU, who are both known for their luxurious style of living. They really lived and breathed the global underground feeling and enjoyed the maximum out of their lives, but in the end it’s very strange to see that even one of the most successful mixed dance compilation series is no longer an important part of the scene.

okay ik heb niks tegen xpander.nl, maar dit is toch wel een uitglijdertje he
oja, over t nieuws itempje op t.nu, daarin werd ook gerefereerd naar de GU administrators op het board die het bericht hadden gepost. Zeg maar het principe van "spread the message"

duh dat stond dus ook al in het xpander bericht.....
Gu zal zoveel mogelijk blijven ontkennen.
Gister werd er gewoon enorm veel gedelete en werden alle mods ingelicht over iets.......

net alsof dat zo veelzeggend is!
gewoon een persbericht van de directie van GU dat ze mensen hebben aangesteld om GU door het financieel zware weer te loodsen. ik kan hier niet uit opmaken hoe goed of slecht het met ze gaat of dat het faillisement definitief is afgewend??
het is gewoon afwachten, of je nu afgaat op de berichtgeving van xpander of van trens.nu

moet je even bij de free record shop in de bakken gucken, vaak liggen daar wel enkele exemplaren, kwam er zaterdag nog 1 of 2 tegen in Enschede, maarja, ik heb helemaal geen cash voor originele cds
