Should The Guvernment lower capacity/raise ticket price?!?
I am one of many who would much rather spend $20 to go to a party where i actually have room to dance, rather than be crammed and just stand and listen. My idea? - cut down capacity to 80% and double ticket price to $20. What do you guys think?
Whatever they do with ticket prices/capacity, it won't attract me back in...
Now, if they were to fix the ventilation so I don't smell (ok, stink) like smoke and cigarettes once I get out, now that would be a much better move...

well ticket prices for big nights are usually 15 bucks and doubleing that would be 30..i wouldnt pay more than 15 to see a DJ unless its a HUGE name like Tiesto and so on.
about capacity in relation to doubling price. they dont need to double priceand have capacity @ 80
100% capacity gives them generally a profit. they can make marginal profit @ 90% and break even @ 80 %...yet the promoters are greedy for money..wat can we do?

I think the best solution would be to simply move Guvernment to Kool House. Even during Tiesto, it wasn't overpacked at all, that's how big it is.
more ppl means that they will buy more drinks
and I think clubs are making profit not from door or capacity
but from a drinks, so more ppl are in the club the hotter it will gets and bars will be busier.
Think business and put customer satisfaction and music aside it is all MONEY business.
cheers

well u know what, its greed on part of the promotin company as well as the guv...cos the promotion company regains its money spent and makes profit if any from cover... the more people they let in, the more money they make themselves

I totally Agree. I think the cover only pays for the DJ + expenses where the booze is where they make their real profit. As to the question if I should pay more for les cram, my answer simpky is, why the fuck should I?? Cover @ guv (especially for a special event) $25++ and drinks which are already expensive there and not all that good. You know what? I see viva Growing at a great pace, where I do have to travel far, yet I am not in a sardine. I wish viva would buy out Guv and open there. I only go to Guv if I have to (since Armin will not spin anywhere else). Other than that I am Pro Viva all the way and I refuse to pay Guv any of my money.

why don't they just open the whole guv with every room open, people would spead out...That would not fix the whole problem of the GUV being packed but you would have more choices...

I say leave it the way it is... I only go to Guv on special occasions. And there are soo many people just like me. Which means that for special occasions at Guv, even if the cover is $30, it will be just as packed. So yeah, I'd rather pay 10-15$ for that "ultimate experience".
