Sounds like the mixer is shot man...I hate to tell ya. Learn to mix without the crossfader if you can, and as far as the headphones if you can deal with it, then cool, save up for a new mixer

Yo slut. From my experience the mixer is sweet. My solution was to mix with the channels and pretend there was no cross-fader. As for the headphone problem, that beats me.

How's the set-up hanging anyways ?

1/8" to 1/4" adaptor can not be the problem, it is most likely the actual plug on the headphones or you have a broken wire inside the not working earphone. Plug is bad in 80% in all cases when only one earphone is working. What brand and model headphones to you have? Some of them have plugs that can come apart...if so, check for proper pos and neg connection to the plug, if plug doesn't come apart, I suggest taking bad earphone apart to check connection, you may have to resolder the pos/neg wires, if that doesn't work, then the earphone is blown...(ps...if you have a Voltmeter, try taking both earphones apart and check for continuity, that is, checking that the wire isn't broken anywhere where you can't see, if there is continuity and all connections are fine, your last resort is to take regular pair of headphones, like from portable CD player or a walkman, using the adaptor, plug them into mixer and see if both earphones are working, if yet, then on your DJ headphones, the bad one is blown, if you got same problem, then it could be the female plug on your mixer.)

btw: lots of mixers have stereo/mono button or switch, if you have such a switch, check it... I've done this myself a few times before...lol!!!

decks are sweet as a nut, np with them, and iam as u sed now just gona use the volumes. iam gona take the mixer 2 a shop to see what can be done. still gona save up 4 a new mixer unless this shop can do out bout it. but the head phones is what worries me cos its such a small thing to get a new mixer for, but it realy is one of the things i can't live with out. so hopefully this shop can tell me what 2 do

and my head phnes are quite new, not specialist dj head phones just some philips stereo SBC HP090 ones. they work fine with my big stereo and my walkman, so it can't be the actually head phones, i have 2 adaptors for the head phones to fit into the mixer with, they both work on my big stereo, so its gona have to be sumthing wrong with the conection inside the mixer. and some1 esle is gona have to help me with that.

lets just wait n see
