Hi guys,

For example, this tune: Scott Bond vs. Solar Stone, and other tunes have the "vs" in it. Does that mean somebody remixed it, putting both DJ's in it? Or it just means 2 DJ's worked together in creating the tune? Or something different?

It just means that both Djs are using both their creativeness to make the song, rather than making a totally different alias.

If they create a different alias then that'll mean they will have to make more songs on the alias..

BUT when they just do Solar stone Vs - Scott Bond, then they can make ONE song and call it a day.

Not necessarily.
Artists who join together and make a new alias usually do do more than 1 tune but they don't have to.

it's all on the dj's what they want, there aren't rules for it they can name it : scott bond is kicking arse with solar stone if they want that

From what I've seend so far, "vs." means that (sometimes) the 2 artists will make a track toghether, then each of them is going to take a shot (= Making his own mix) at it, giving it his own touch...

hehe, I reckon they do it coz it sounds cooler than "and", "&" or "feat."

I forgot to mention that sometimes a "Vs." states that the track is a Synnergy = Two or more tracks have been mixed toghether to play simultanously as one track... In these cases I believe it's correct to also state that not only the artist name is "X vs. Y" , but that the track is also "A vs. B" , though the title is ussually a combination of the names.
Examples:

Kosheen vs. Ferry Corsten - Catch the Punk
Rank 1 vs. Kylie Minogue - Airwave vs. True Love Never Dies

i always thought vs. means an equal collaboration

feat. is slightly different - like one person does the vocals, the other does the melody

and/& is more like a long-lasting relationship (), sorta like hemstock & jennings, gabriel & dresden, etc.

ft. = Someone is featured, IE put in the track by the other or helped it complete it, but is not an equal partner on it as you said.

I think you are right about the &/and thing, though not a lot of people treat it that way these days
