I never use the crossfader, I do it all with the channel faders. I was wondering if there are other people who do this, as I know that alot of people use the crossfader

Depends on what is being played. If it is electronic in nature channel fades. If it is anything else I do use the crossfader.

It depends on what mixer I'm using. If I'm using a shitty mixer (ie a Pioneer DJM-500 or 600) I'll use the channel faders, as the Pioneer cross faders are complete shit.
If I'm using a Rane mixer, I use the crossfader. The new Empath probably has the best crossfader curve which eliminates the need to use the channel faders.
i mostly use the channel faders! but when i'm kinda tired itcan be confusing not to use the crossfaders

Pioneer mixers are toys, unworthy of professional use. I stand by my comment 100%.
A toy that will outlast any other mixer. I mean how old is it now and there is still a huge demand for it. That speaks for itself.
Sure it has plastic knobs, but those plastic knobs are all still in tact in my mixer which has been in my setup for over 3 years now.

Sorry i've just seen this mixer for the first time.
You say the pioneers look like toys then whats with the empaths childish colouring scheme. sheer idiocy. It looks tacky and cheap. Like a gemini mixer or something. and at that price they better give you a winning lottery ticket in the box. what a con
That to me looks far more like a toy than the djm.
Having said all that i've never tried this mixer, i'm just judging it on what it looks like.
as you are doing with the djm mr. djmaytag
