Arrow Are DJ Autographs worth anything?

As I was sitting in my room going through all the PvD autographs I've gotten over the years, I began to wonder whether they or ever will have any monetary value...Of course these autographs have personal value, but will they ever be sold like autographed memorabilia from athletes and celebrities? What do you guys think..

Yes they are, depending who the DJ is and what you have autographed. Though personally, I think people who buy autographs are not only stupid, but sad. Autographs are more than just a signature of someone you respect. They are supposed to commemorate some kind of interaction with that person you respect. Whether it be seeing them live or bumping into them somewhere. When you look at that autograph years from then, that memory gets kicked into your head and thats the whole point. Now these people who buy autographs, these are people who are basically trying to buy an experience of someone else. And thats all I have to say about that

I'd sure that a larry levan original production vinyl signed by the man himself, would probably go for a nice chunk of change....being that the man is dead.

As long as there's a market for them--and judging by the size and activity level of this site and the growth of the genre in general, there certainly is--celebrity dj autographs can definitely fetch you a little somethin' somethin'.

I also agree that autographs do signify a unique personal interaction and shouldn't be sought for profit, but that's capitalism for ya...

I said that because many househeads would pay big money for it. Ron Hardy Productions signed by him would go for a ton (since he is dead and he only signed a certain number of vinyl and can't obviously sign anymore because he is dead)....seeing as he is dead. Same with Walter Gibbons (died 1992). I'm sure old kraftwerks vinyl from the mid 70's signed would be nice.

Why would anyone want to buy a DJ autograhp? They are not trading cards or sports memorabilia. Go see your favorite DJ and get one that way.
