Hybrid are simply amazing. They played at the much smaller system but there was more room to dance. Mark Scaife played a decent set but when Mike (1/2 of hybrid, for those who don't know) when on...then the music went from prog to breakbeat and boy did they play many diff styles of breakbeat. About an hour later, Chris shows up and Mike proceeds to chat some girl up....earlier...he got into the mood by taking the NO ALCOHOL IN THE DJ BOOTH sign and putting it on his shirt. System was banging...room to dance...very nice. Plus I met them both and they both signed my wider angle and remix album. They say new album should be out in May. They are currently looking for a major label to distribute it. A tremendous night...lots of fun...shame I have to go to sat. morning class now....oh well.

Breaks, house, electro & downtempo.

Yep, they most certainly do not disappoint. Considering that so many breaks drive me nuts, Hybrid managed to pull both hands and feet up in the air for most of the night. Something about their style makes me want to move more than any other DJ I've seen or heard.

One thing I like about System was that there was way more room to dance, i.e. "bust a groove" which I was doing very obnoxiously at the front. I didn't meet any TA's though! I saw someone fitting torontotrance's exact description but he said it wasn't him...

Anyway Hybrid IS the shit, too bad I had to leave a little after 5. Thanks a LOT guys for the guestlist and I'm sorry I didn't get to meet any of you... maybe next time.
