headphone repairs....
anyone know where i can get my headphones repaired??
i have a pair of technics RP-DJ1200 headphones and the left channel is out.. i suspect its just a damaged wire... i took them to the technics factory in mississauga but those bastards said they can't fix it cause they don't normally do heasphones and they don't have the schematics for it... i guess its some kind of company policy so they're not liable for damages... still... its stupid that they won't fix my headphones.. i mean, if they can fix DVD players, then i'm sure they can fix my headphones... they want me to write off my 'phones and offered me a new pair for 190 bucks!!! are they crazy?!
anyways... i kinda got sidetracked and started bitching there... so anyone know anyone who repairs headphones? my last resort would be to do it myself... but i want to avoid that situation.. i'm not very handy with a soldering iron, =P.

headphones are tricky things to repair.
best bet is to replace the cord..well before replacing it, chop it off, test it with a multimeter, and if its busted, put a new one on.
did you try going to dj depot? i think they do repairs their

if thats not the problem..you could be screwed.
that's my last resort... before hacking wires and cracking plastic, i'd like a professional to look at it, =P

damn.. i'm guessing that's the toronto side of steeles... i live in sauga... what a pain in the ass... ah well.. i'll give them a call. thanks for you help, =)
